Why are there so many different
color systems?

Great question! Here’s a brief overview. Color Me Beautiful made the 4 seasons crazy popular in the 80’s. It’s great to know if you’re a spring, summer, autumn, or winter. Many people fit nicely into one of these 4 seasons. But look around…people are a lot more diverse than that.

That led to adding 12 subseasons (or 16). This system recognizes that there is need for more specialized color fans when someone’s coloring blends elements from more than one of the seasons.

Some people’s dominant characteristic isn’t their season at all. The tonal system looks at bright vs. muted, light vs. dark, and warm vs. cool to determine which “tone” is the best fit. I’ve had a couple clients who fit in this system more than seasons.

Why choose any of these systems when you can know your Perfect Colors? Through Color Alliance technology using your skin, hair, and eye color combination, I’ll make sure you aren’t just included in one of 4, 6, 12, or 16 subgroups. Your best colors should be chosen just for you.

Just knowing my season wasn't enough for me.
First, I was labeled as a Winter. It seemed the best option of the four seasons, but the colors didn't suit me perfectly.

So then I tried sub-season color analysis, and I was labeled as a soft summer. Having a blended palette was certainly better ... until I discovered that I could know the perfect colors for my hair, skin, and eye combination. Now I know exactly which colors are best for me!

How long have you been doing color analysis?
When you’re choosing to invest in getting your colors done, you definitely want to go with someone who has experience. I’ve been in business since 2021 when I got certified with Color Alliance. But I think it’s way more important to ask how many clients I’ve had. I stopped counting at 100.

What do you love most about color analysis?
I love helping people discover how to look their best. I’ve been a part of some amazing transformations!

Do you offer virtual color analysis appointments?
Sorry, no. I’m not willing risk making sure you discover your perfect colors by only using photographs.

Is this your full-time job?
No, I’m a project manager and an adjunct professor. This is one of my fun hobbies …along with world travel, volunteering, and hanging out with my amazing grandkids.
