    How long have you been doing color analysis?
    I started Perfect Colors for You in 2021 when I became a certified consultant with Color Alliance. I think it’s way more important to ask how experienced someone is. I stopped counting at 100 clients.

    What do you love most about color analysis?
    I love helping people discover how to look their best. I’ve seen some amazing transformations with the right colors!

    Do you offer virtual color analysis appointments?

  • Why are there so many different color systems?

    Great question! Color Me Beautiful made the 4 seasons crazy popular in the 80’s. It’s great to know if you’re a spring, summer, autumn, or winter. But look around . . . people are a lot more diverse than that.

    That led to adding 12 (or 16) subseasons. This system recognizes that our coloring can blend elements from more than one season.

    Some people’s dominant characteristic isn’t their season at all. The tonal system looks at bright vs. muted, light vs. dark, and warm vs. cool to find the best fit.

    If someone mentions 23 seasons, they are usually combining all of these systems together.

    Why do color consultants occasionally get someone’s season wrong? Some are really easy like Princess Fiona as an autumn or Snow White as a winter. Others can be challenging, even for those of us who have done A LOT of color analysis. The likelihood of accuracy is MUCH higher when the color analysis is done in person. If my client didn’t agree with the outcome, I’d want them to reach out so we could do it again.

  • Why should I choose Perfect Colors for You?

    The best way for me to answer that is with my own Perfect Colors journey. When I first had my colors done, I was labeled as a Winter. It seemed the best option of the four seasons, but those colors didn't suit me perfectly.

    So then I tried 12 sub-season color analysis, and I was labeled as a soft summer. Having a blended palette was certainly better . . . until I discovered that I could know the perfect colors for my hair, skin, and eye combination. Now I know exactly which colors are best for me!

    I’m a Contrasting Imperial Winter. My primary season is winter. Contrasting means that I look best when I wear contrasting colors together. (Other options are Light, True (medium), and Vivid (dark). Imperial is the description of my skin/hair/eyes combination.
